C. Wonder providing a new shopping experience

Posted: Updated:

A new retail store just popped up in Tysons Corner and this one takes customer service to a whole new level.

C. Wonder's founder, Chris Burch, was inspired to create this store when he was shopping in Costco. If you've shopped in Costco, you know you can find great, quality, even luxury items, for very reasonable prices. But at Costco, you are shopping in a warehouse after all.

So, Burch wanted to offer all that in a more aesthetically pleasing atmosphere with C. Wonder.

The C. stands for customer. The Wonder?

"Wonder is what we want to inspire in our customers when they come in," says Sales Associate Kellee McLaughlin. "We want them to feel wonderful, we want them to have a wonder welcome, and we have lots of little, fun things that are just wonderful and special."

The point here is to create a different and unique kind of shopping experience. You'll find everything from home goods to clothing to jewelry in here, even shoes and bags, something for everyone, every age.

McLaughlin says "it's all about fun, bright, preppy affordable luxury with great colors and price at the same time."

It's the little things that count: from the bowl of chocolate to the bright eye-catching colors and displays. It's all to cater to the consumer.

They're also installing switches in the dressing room so you can customize the music and the lighting to your preference.

Store employees say they want customers to feel special, charmed and appreciated.

C. Wonder will be open at midnight Thursday night along with all the other retailers at Tysons Corner. So get some sleep if you plan on braving the ''hours" Thursday.
