Report Of Attempted Luring Of Young Girl in Northeast Philadelphia

Posted: Updated:

Fox 29's Steve Keeley is reporting that a young girl who attends Carnell School in the Oxford Circle area of Northeast Philadelphia was the victim of an attempted luring while she walked to school early Monday morning.

Steve did speak with Philadelphia School District's Fernando Gallard who did not have any information on today's police report, but he did disclose that a similar incident happened a few weeks ago in this very area.

According to a local crossing guard, the young girl was walking as a man pulled up and tried to lure her into the car.  The young girl did not get into the car and was able to get to school.  The guard called the police and the girl's parents have been contacted.

Police are on scene and we will bring you more on this developing story during the next hour of Good Day.
