    AMSTERDAM (AP) -- The Dutch defense department says several NATO member countries scrambled jets Wednesday afternoon after a pair of Russian bomber planes approached their airspace over the North Sea. The Dutch ministry identified the planes as two Russian TU-95 Bears, and said it had launched two F-16s from Volkel air force base to intercept them. A judge in Ohio is shocked after a man asked her if he could smoke one more joint before court.

19-year-old Damaine Mitchell was facing over a year in jail for selling pot.

Judge Melba Marsh offered Mitchell a treatment program if he could just quit.

Mitchell replied, saying that would be tough to do and asked if he could quote, "get one more joint in."

The judge told him no and ordered him to return to court

    One month ago, law enforcement officers in Arkansas raided an animal breeding facility to investigate allegations of neglect.  Some of the 181 dogs, rabbits, and birds that were seized have now arrived in metropolitan Washington, D.C. and will soon be put up for adoption.
