Bynum's Latest Setback Came While Bowling

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

This probably won't come as a shock, but we have more bad news on Sixers center Andrew Bynum.

Bynum met with media Friday and said he suffered a setback.

Not only is the center having problems with his right knee. Now his left knee is an issue as well.

When the Sixers acquired Bynum – via that four-team offseason trade that sent Andre Iguodala packing – they knew he had knee problems, FOX 29's Howard Eskin reported.

But they never could imagine the knee would get worse bowling – yes, you read that right, bowling.

On Sunday night, Bynum admitted the knee injury got worse when he went bowling.

He said it's a cartilage issue in the same exact spot on both knees. And an MRI revealed a bone bruise, now in his left knee.

The team still expects the same timetable, which means he'll be reevaluated in mid-December.
