A man has died when his motorcycle was hit by a van while stopped at an intersection red light in Warner Robins.
The Macon County Telegraph newspaper reports that Houston County sheriff's deputies said the accident happened about 6 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Davis Drive and Georgia 247 in Warner Robins.
The deputies said 62-year-old Delmar Singleton was riding a 2012 Triumph motorcycle. He was stopped in the northbound lane of the intersection for a red light.
Deputies said a 2005 Chevy Astro Van driven by 80-year-old James Leroy Edwards of Juliette ran into the rear of the motorcycle and pushed it 363 feet down the highway.
Edwards was also transported to the Houston Medical Center and treated for injuries that were not life threatening.
