Power, heat return to Far Rockaway building

The electricity and heat are back on at the Ocean Bay Apartments in Far Rockaway, Queens. But there is a catch: these are just temporary boilers and generator for however long they're needed.

New York City's Housing Authority restored power to all of its 402 buildings affected by the hurricane -- almost 80,000 residents.

However, some city buildings in Brooklyn and Queens are still without heat or hot water.

The boilers and generator at Ocean Bay may be temporary but thankfully, they're here for however long they are needed.

Officials say installing a permanent boiler could take months.
