WASHINGTON, DC -
In just five years Mayor Vincent Gray would like to create 100,000 new jobs and hopes to generate more than a billion dollars in revenue.
The five-year economic development strategy was presented by the Mayor on Wednesday. It would call for the development of a medical hub and also would look to attract those in the tech industry.
The Mayor held a media briefing at the Kennedy Center Recreation Center which is just across the street from the O Street Market redevelopment project. Gray said, "This job has created 400-construction jobs and there will be 400 new full times positions."
Gray told reporters that he had recently met with financial investors who expressed interest in future development.
