Study finds iPads may help people with eye disease

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Apple's iPad may help some people with eye diseases.

Researchers in New Jersey looked at a hundred people with eye diseases that damaged their central vision.

They found reading speed increased by more than 40 words per minute when using an iPad with an 18 point font setting.

The researchers hope the findings will help eye doctors advise patients with various degrees of vision loss on ways to continue reading.
