(WJBK) -- Authorities are asking the public's help in identifying two people believed to responsible for identity thefts in at least five metro Detroit communities.
Police say the pair is accused of fraud with losses totaling over $60,000 in Grosse Pointe Shores, Green Oaks Charter Twp., Novi, Northville and Farmington.
Police believe the suspects use victim's information and possibly a fake Michigan driver's license to apply for credit accounts at stores including: Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Art Van Furniture, Gardner-White Furniture, Home Depot, Mico Center, Macy's and Sears.
Police say the pair has been seen leaving these businesses in a burgundy Chevrolet or GMC conversion van.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to their arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
