The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree made a stop in Denver - one of its many stops on its way to the capital.
It was a great opportunity for locals to get an up close look at a big piece of Colorado.
Governor Hickenlooper spoke out to the crowd and was also being presented with a copy of "Awaiting Spring," a piece of Colorado-inspired art that's also headed to the White House.
The tree and painting aren't the only ones headed to D.C.
Ryan Shuster, a Colorado Springs High School student, was randomly selected to travel to the nation's capital and light the tree at ceremony in early December.
The seventeen-year-old hopes the tree brings his home-state some recognition.
