PSE&G: Power Now Restored To 99.9 Percent Of Customers

Posted: Updated:

PSE&G says the power has been restored to nearly all of its 1.7 million customers impacted by Hurricane Sandy and this week's nor'easter.

As of Sunday night, PSE&G reports 99.9 percent of its impacted customers have had their power restored, with 130 outages remaining from Sandy and 740 from the nor'easter.

The majority of the outages are in Union, Middlesex and Somerset counties, which are areas that saw high winds during both Sandy and the nor'easter.

PSE&G says since restoration began, utility crews have replaced at least 2,500 poles and 1,000 transformers. Forty-one thousand trees were cut down due to the hurricane.
