The Federal Emergency Management Agency is in Jersey City to help answer questions from residents about disaster relief.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Small Business Administration also participated in the two town hall meetings to discuss the rebuilding and restoration process.  FEMA has opened a Disaster Recovery Center at 350 Montgomery Street, which is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

"We have been working closely with FEMA during the storm and its aftermath and asked for any and all assistance that they can provide," said Mayor Jerramiah Healy. "As we continue to return the city to normalcy and begin the rebuilding and restoration process, we know there are going to be many questions and concerns and we will continue to work side by side with FEMA to bring our residents the answers and assistance they need."

The city will provide bus service to the Moose Lodge from the Society Hill Front Gate and from Country Village Park, which is located at Sycamore and Crossgate Roads. Buses will arrive at 10:00 a.m. and depart from the locations at 10:30 a.m.

Residents can file for claims by visiting the Recovery Center, by calling 1-800-621-3362 or file online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or at the DRC.

Residents cannot file a claim at the town hall meetings.
