EAST LANSING, Mich. (WJBK) -

A wayward deer is being blamed for leaving behind a trail of broken glass and blood after smashing through a window at a Michigan State University building.

Several students posted pictures of the damage on social media websites. MLive.com reports the deer knocked into several windows in the classroom wing of Wilson Hall on Wednesday before getting into the building.

Campus police report the deer went into an office, down a hallway and then out a window of the building. No one was hurt and the damage is said to be relatively minor.

The deer has not been found.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
