Nutter's Future In Obama Administration? Mayor Puts Rumors To Rest

PHILADELPHIA -
During a Wednesday afternoon storm briefing, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter told reporters they wouldn't have to ask him the question about his future with President Barack Obama's administration anymore.
Nutter said he has made it very clear that he wants to serve out his term as mayor of Philadelphia.
He says he can best serve the president by being the city's mayor and carrying out the things the administration is focused on accomplishing.
Nutter, who spoke at the Democratic National Convention, has been rumored to be a possible addition to Obama's cabinet.
But Nutter says there have been no expectations and the White House is aware of his intentions to stay in Philadelphia.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Obama had won 303 Electoral College votes in Tuesday's Election and easily won Pennsylvania, which late in the campaign was considered to possibly be in play.
Nutter said that, in his 30-years of politics, this was one of the happiest and proudest moments of his entire political career.
The mayor said he was proud of Obama and especially proud of Philadelphia voters.
