Atlantic County Urges Residents To Restock Emergency Kits

Posted: Updated:

Emergency management officials in Atlantic County are urging residents to restock their emergency kits as a Nor'easter approaches the area.

The Nor'easter is expected to reach the area by Wednesday morning and has the potential to bring rainfall, snow and wind gusts of up to 65 miles-per-our.

On Tuesday, emergency officials urged residents to take precautions and prepare for the storm.

In addition to restocking their emergency supply kits, officials recommended:

- Recharge cell phones and electronic devices

- Fuel vehicles and move them to higher ground

- Check on the elderly and those with special needs

The Atlantic County Office of Emergency Management is scheduled to be fully activated by 8 a.m. Wednesday through the storm's duration.

Residents are urged to contact their local office of emergency management officials.
