Md. politicians make push on ballot questions

Posted: Updated:
BALTIMORE -

Maryland's elected officials are making a final push for various state ballot questions.

Gov. Martin O'Malley and other supporters of expanded gambling appeared Monday in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Prince George's County Executive Rushern Baker and state lawmakers joined the governor, urging voters to approve the measure, which they say will keep millions of gambling dollars from flowing out of state.

The governor also attended a rally blocks away on Federal Hill in support of same-sex marriage. O'Malley also scheduled another same-sex marriage event at the University of Maryland, College Park later Monday.

Meanwhile, supporters of allowing illegal immigrants who have attended high school in Maryland for three years and paid state taxes during that time to pay in-state tuition are holding events in Baltimore and Takoma Park on Monday.
