WASHINGTON -
D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray and former Mayors Anthony Williams and Marion Barry attended the 14th Annual Heart To Hart Tennis Tournament at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center.
Local politicians, community leaders, and Washington Kastles owner Mark Ein took to the courts in the fundraising event, which was hosted by the Recreation Wish List Committee.
Committee founder Cora Masters Barry said it was a "special occasion for all of us, as it is a reminder of how we started our efforts to raise needed funds for the children of the District of Columbia over 10 years ago."
A pavilion at the tennis center was dedicated in the name of former Mayor Williams, in honor of his support for the $5 million facility, which provides tennis instruction, tutoring and life skills lessons for close to 100 D.C. youth.
