FERNDALE, Mich. (WJBK) - Several local companies plan to deliver clothes, coats and blankets to victims of Superstorm Sandy along the east coast this week.

Jack Aronson, founder of Garden Fresh Gourmet, says trucks will leave for Long Island at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Until then, donations will be accepted at Garden Fresh Gourmet (1220 E. 9 Mile Road) in Ferndale until 6 p.m. on Monday and from 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

People are asked to bring new or gently used clothing, coats and blankets. All those donating will receive a free bag of Garden Fresh chips and salsa.
