District of Columbia police say a man has been arrested in connection with two attacks against women, including a sexual assault at a Howard University residence hall.
Police announced Saturday that 19-year-old Demarco Myles of Washington has been arrested in the attacks.
In the most recent attack, police say a man entered a Howard University dorm room on Friday afternoon, displayed a knife and sexually assaulted a woman.
A week earlier on the afternoon of Oct. 26, police say a man knocked on an apartment door in northeast Washington. When a woman answered the door, the man forced his way in and attempted to sexually assault the woman. The woman fought back and was stabbed several times before the suspect fled.
Myles is charged with assault and first-degree sexual assault.
