Report: Gilbert to begin construction on downtown retail, parking space

DETROIT (WJBK) - It appears that more retail and parking space is coming to downtown Detroit.
The Detroit News reports Quicken Loans Inc.'s Dan Gilbert and his partners plan to begin construction this month on a five-story parking and retail development.
The report says the structure will have 1,300 parking spaces and 33,000 square feet of ground floor space for shops and restaurants. It will be located off Broadway and E. Grand River Ave.
Construction is scheduled to be completed by December 2013.
