SALISBURY, Md. -
The tiny Maryland town of Henderson has put Halloween back on after canceling it, and others are shuffling plans as they recover from superstorm Sandy.
Mayor Sandy Cook had canceled the activities on Wednesday, but reinstated trick-or-treating when power was restored to the town. Henderson has a population of 150 near Maryland's border with Delaware.
Greensboro switched its trick-or-treating night to Friday because of the storm. Town manager Jeannette DeLude says there was flooding in the town of 2,000 residents along the Choptank River.
Denton moved trick-or-treating to Saturday because of the storm. Town Administrator Donald Mulrine Jr. says some homes in the town of 4,000 were still without power, and safety was the main concern. He says the town is contacting schools to let them know about the change.
