Ask Tony & Tucker: Superstorm Damage

Posted: Updated:

Our Ask Tony and Tucker question comes from Ray Collins and is about the Superstorm.

Ray is a "sky warn" weather spotter.

He writes, "Is it possible that the counterclockwise rotation of the storm protected D.C. because the storm had to rotate across the Blue Ridge westward, dropping snow, and then across the mountains again eastward, disturbing the air flow, lowering the damage potential before the rotation of the storm could get to D.C. and about 75 miles southeast of D.C.?"
