WASHINGTON -
Crews are still working to restore power to thousands in Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C., and northern Virginia after winds from superstorm Sandy downed trees and power lines.
By 6 a.m. Wednesday, 115,000 customers were still in the dark. That means more than two-thirds of those in the region who lost power during the storm had their power restored by Wednesday
Baltimore Gas and Electric was reporting the most outages with nearly 86,000 customers in the dark. Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Harford counties have the most outages.
On the Eastern Shore, Delmarva Power was reporting 7,400 outages in Maryland and Delaware.
In the Washington area, Pepco is reporting about 1,300 outages, down from 21,000 Tuesday morning.
In northern Virginia, Dominion Virginia Power is reporting 20,000 outages, down from 110,000 Tuesday.
