Mayor Nutter To Assess The Damage Across Philadelphia

Posted: Updated:

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter was on "Good Day" Tuesday morning to talk about the effects of super storm Sandy on the city.

He told Mike and Sheinelle that approximately 230 trees were down in various neighborhoods, and he expected there to be more when daylight hit.

Several trees were strewn across popular thoroughfares like MLK Drive and Kelly Drive.

The Delaware River experienced record-breaking flood levels, and the Schuylkill River is expected to crest at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The mayor says he and his team will spend the day assessing the damage, leading the clean-up efforts and getting the city back up and running.
