Weather Authority Ben Bailey says the worst of the wind is over. However, strong breezes are still expected throughout southeast Michigan Tuesday as wind advisories continue through 1 p.m. Counties bordering Lake Huron remain under a high wind warning until 1 p.m. with expected gusts reaching 55 to 65 mph.

As a result of the high winds and power outages, numerous schools were closed throughout southeast Michigan on Tuesday. In Harper Woods, officials say limited power has closed city hall for the day. All 911 calls will be transferred to the Grosse Pointe police department.

Rain showers and cool temperatures are also forecasted for the day with high temps reaching 46 degrees.
