WASHINGTON, DC -

Hurricane Sandy is barreling toward the DC Region and she's expected to pack a punch.

City officials helped homeowners prepare, handing out free sandbags at RFK Stadium. Meantime in Prince George's County, the swift water rescue teams are running last minute checks on equipment.
