ASBURY PARK, N.J. (AP) -- Officials say the three-day Bamboozle music festival won't take place in the city where it began a decade ago.
Some 90,000 people went to Asbury Park's beaches in May to see headliners Bon Jovi, the Foo Fighters and Skrillex. But ticket sales fell short and the promoter didn't make a profit.
City Manager Terence Reidy tells the Asbury Park Press although Bamboozle won't return to the city, the city and promoter will work to try to bring other events.
Live Nation hasn't decided where the next bamboozle will take place.
The festival was held in Asbury from 2003 to 2005 before it was moved to a parking lot at the Meadowlands Sports Complex from 2006 to 2011.
