Psychologist weighs in on suspected nanny killing of 2 children

Developmental psychologist Dr. Nava Silton weighs in on the suspected killings of two young children allegedly by the nanny.
Police believe Yoselyn Ortega, 50, stabbed a 6-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy at a building called La Rochelle on West 75th Street, just of Columbus Avenue.
"Maybe it was some kind of psychotic episode. Maybe hallucination. There are numerous possibilities. It appeared to be impulsive," Silton told Good Day New York.
The shocking story raises all sorts of fears in parents of their child care provider.
Dr. Silton suggests a few steps to get a better sense of whom is watching their children/
Ask the nanny, 'hat would you do in the following situation? Have the nanny come twice. In the morning hours and at night time, bath time when the child may get cranky," suggested Silton.
