WASHINGTON -
Metro police continue to investigate the cause of death of a baby found unconscious on one of their trains.
Rescue crews were called to the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station around 8:00 a.m. Wednesday morning for reports of an infant not breathing.
Witnesses reported trying to help the mother on the train after the infant began having a bloody nose.
Many of those witnesses say the train was stopped in a tunnel for several minutes while the baby was in trouble.
The child was rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
