No added benefit to organic diet for kids: Study

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

An organic diet for kids may not be worth the extra money.

A new report from the American Academy of Pediatrics found no evidence that organic foods offer any extra nutritional value over conventionally grown foods.

Pediatricians say both types of food offer the same amount of vitamins, antioxidants, and proteins.

Doctors say what's most important is that parents feed their children a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat dairy products.
