DETROIT -- 81-year-old Daisy Upshaw was robbed of her purse at gunpoint and carjacked around 11:20 a.m. Monday in her own driveway.  Inside her car was her 80-year-old brother, Saul Coleman, who suffers from dementia and was driven away by the carjackers.

"Young people preying on the elderly, that's not a good thing," Marty Banks remarked.

He says his mother ran across the street to tell her neighbor.  911 was called.  Police responded immediately and arrested two men and two women a block away at Sanford and Bradford on the city's east side.

Turns out police say the two men had a fake gun and are suspected in five other carjackings.  We're told they had pushed the 80-year-old man out of the car before the police chased them down.  He was not hurt.

"Good thing they didn't do anything to him," Banks said.
