Our Ask Tony and Tucker question comes from Chris and his brother Gary in Stafford, Virginia.
Chris is a high-schooler interested in becoming a meteorologist.
He and his brother were recently looking at a satellite image of Tropical Cyclone Anais in the Indian Ocean.
Chris writes, "We both know that cyclones rotate clockwise in the southern hemisphere. But my brother proposed the question, 'What if a cyclone crosses the equator into the northern hemisphere?' does it still spin the same direction? Or vice versa?"
