In Prince William County a man attacked three women at gunpoint and sexually assaulted one of them Thursday night in Dumfries.
Police are searching for the man.
The women thought they had safety in numbers, but the suspect clearly wasn't deterred.
He was able to get one of the women away from the group and sexually assaulted her.
The approaching lights of the police car scared the suspect away.
He's described as a black male, with a light to medium complexion, between 5' 8" and 5' 10" tall, 18 to 25 years old.
He was wearing a large dark colored hooded sweatshirt and dark colored faded baggy jeans.
He was armed with what appeared to be a black and silver handgun.
