Former Eagles Player Helping Kids To Stay Competitive In Sports

Posted: Updated:
MEDFORD, N.J. -

The competition between high school athletes is getting tougher and tougher all of the time, which is why some in our area are now turning to a former Philadelphia Eagle to give them the edge.

Tra Thomas has trained some big names at his Medford, New Jersey gym "7 Duece Sports." He's also training kids, including some high school swimmers.

The workouts are 60 minutes of pain with plenty of gain mixed with strength training and intense cardio.

It's tough work, but the kids who train here say it's paying off.

Swimmers Tiara White, a ninth grader, and junior Kacie Dunham say they are going after college scholarships.

Thomas says he has athletes as young as eight training for their sports year-round.
