Mario Lopez Won’t Confirm ‘X Factor’ Co-Host Reports

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

There are multiple reports that Mario Lopez will be one of the co-hosts of the "X Factor," along with Khloe Kardashian.

The "Saved by the Bell" alum and his fiancée, Courtney Mazza, joined "Good Day" on Tuesday morning – after a delay that was apparently due to Lopez's bathroom break.

Multiple tabloids say the "X Factor" co-hosting deal is done, and we've been hearing that Lopez's and Kardashian's salaries will add millions to the budget, which Britney Spears leads at $15 million.

But when asked about the "X Factor" reports Tuesday morning, Lopez said, "That's a rumor I've been hearing for a while."

"I hope it's true and, uh, I love the show and would be honored to be a part of it," he said. "So, we'll see in a couple of weeks on FOX."

Pressed to confirm the reports, Lopez would only say, "Well, there's a lot of things out there, you know, you hear. So, we'll see. I would love for it to be true, so we'll see in a couple of weeks."

Lopez would confirm that's partnering with Mazza for the "Nivea Kiss of Lifetime Contest" on Facebook. They'll help identify three couples with the most heartwarming stories, and then America votes on who joins them for the kiss in Times Square.

Lopez and Mazza will be newlyweds by then, as they're getting married shortly before New Year's. They already have a 2-year-old daughter, Gia, and their VH1 reality show "Save by the Baby" premiered in November 2010.
