PHILADELPHIA -

The accused suspect in a SEPTA shooting and robbery, Shawn Walker, was arraigned Friday on robbery, criminal attempted murder and other charges.

Walker, 18, was arrested by Philadelphia police Thursday after investigators say they received a tip identifying him as the suspect in a robbery that occurred at a SEPTA subway station last week.

Police say in that robbery, a suspect approached a man at the Glenwood SEPTA subway station just before 8 p.m. on Oct. 7th, pointed a gun at him and said "give it up."

Police say the man attempted to run towards the subway platform when the suspect shot him in the hip. As the victim was on the ground, police say the suspect took his wallet, which had $280 worth of cash inside.

Police say Walker is also the suspect in the armed robbery of a North Philadelphia grocery store.
