The “Philly Cheesesteak” vs. new Detroit cheesesteaks

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (MyFoxDetroit) -

The Detroit Lions will soon face off against the Philadelphia Eagles and what better way to prepare than rolling out a "Detroit Cheesesteak" to face off the famous "Philly Cheesesteak."

Joey's Famous Philly Cheesesteaks and More introduces the new sandwiches.

The Coney Steak

Starts out with their traditional Philadelphia Cheesesteak made with an Amoroso Italian roll, sauteed ribeye steak, fried onions and a grilled locally made, Dearborn hotdog.  We finish this off with a nice layer of Cheez Whiz, yellow mustard and of course some diced raw onions.

The Triple Crown

This steak has been especially created for our Tiger Fans who are still celebrating Miguel Canberra's Triple Crown.
It starts out with a Classic Cheesesteak, then melted American cheese, grilled sauerkraut next to the Dearborn hotdog, add some fried onions, a drizzle of thousand island dressing a little crispy bacon, and a touch of our famous HOT Cherry Pepper Relish.

The Cheesesteak Special

This cheesesteak has made an epic statement at our stores.  Our customers love the all inclusive quality of this Cheesesteak. This Cheesesteak put Joey's on the map for "Best Cheeststeaks Outside of Philadelphia."

We start with our sautéed ribeye, gooey American cheese, sauteed green peppers, mushrooms and of course our fried onions.  Top layer is cheez whiz.
