Pub Style Mussels
1 pound of rinsed, fresh mussels
1 italian sausage link cooked, sliced
2 oz chopped red onion
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 tablespoon butter
6 oz beer
combine all ingredients in covered pot, bring to a boil, steam 5-7mins or until shells are open. serve with garlic toast and melted butter for dipping
1 pound langostino cooked, chilled
8 slices thick bacon, cooked
zest from one lemon
2 oz carrot shredded
1 teaspoon old bay seasoning
1 teaspoon seven pepper blend
1 cup mayonnaise
2 large tomatoes, sliced
pre heat oven 350, put sliced baguettes in to toast
in a bowl combine langostino, lemon, carrot, onion, mayonnaise, and seasonings, mix well.
spoon mixture onto toasted baguette, layer with bacon, lettuce and tomato slices
