Out-Of-Control Car Damages 20 Parked Vehicles In Fairmount

PHILADELPHIA -

An out-of-control car slammed into 20 parked cars late last night in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia.

It happened along the 1900 block of Poplar Street.

Police believe the driver may have been rendered unconscious by some kind of medical condition.

A couple that lives on that block had both their cars damaged.

"Well, I was in the kitchen cooking, and I heard a big, loud explosion. And I ran upstairs. My husband was looking out the window. I was like, 'What happened?' And he couldn't even answer. He was in shock. So, we came out and saw our two cars got smashed," Theresa Kaggia said.

The driver was taken to the hospital. No one else was injured.
