PHILADELPHIA -

Are you addicted to Facebook and Twitter? A new study finds the cravings could be worse than cigarettes and sex.

The study comes from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

For one week, researchers followed 250 people with smartphones in Germany.

They checked in with them about every 30 minutes and found the hardest desires to resist were going on social media sites.

The experts say the people wanted Facebook and Twitter more than cigarettes and sex.

The study's lead author says people can become addicted to social media sites because they're free, readily accessible and hard to turn down.
