Million Dollars Worth Of Heroin Seized From NE Philly Home

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Agents found more than a million dollars worth of heroin in the basement of a Northeast Philadelphia row house on McKinley Street.

FOX 29 cameras were there when agents brought out an elaborate setup, including paraphernalia used to weigh, cut and package the heroin.

They even found horse tranquilizers they say is used to give the heroin an extra punch and stretch further.

Agents say the person in charge of all this is the supplier to a ring of street dealers. They arrested the man they believe was running the operation and another person Tuesday as they allegedly made a deal on Hancock and Cumberland Street.

Agents also have a search warrant for a home on Elbridge Street not too far away from the stash house on McKinley. That's where they believe the alleged head dealer was staying.
