SILVER SPRING, Md. -
Montgomery County Police are investigating a shooting Monday night in Silver Spring.
Police say at around 8:45 p.m., they responded to a home in the 1100 block of Good Hope Drive for a report of a shooting. They say when officers arrived, a male resident told them an altercation with a female acquaintance and an unknown male took place and he fired his gun, possibly striking the unknown male.
The female acquaintance and unknown male were no longer at the scene when police arrived.
While police were investigating, they say received a call that a male had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound and is in serious condition. Police believe the two incidents may be related.
