A water main break closed a portion of Woodland Avenue in Philadelphia Monday morning after the road caved in.
The Philadelphia Water Department shut down the area between 42nd and 43rd streets on Woodland Avenue because of the 12 inch break.
It's not clear when the area will be reopened.
SEPTA trolley routes 11 and 36 have been diverted onto Chester Ave. from 40th to 49th due to the break.
According to the SEPTA website, shuttle buses are operating from 49th and Woodland to 40th Street.
Not the prettiest Friday, but we're ready for a great weekend. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. After an early high in the upper sixties, temperatures fall & winds pick up out of the chillier northwest. Right now the Memorial Day Weekend looks sunny and cool with highs in the low to mid 60s on Saturday, in the 70s Sunday & Monday. Cooler temps at the shore.
