Officer-involved shooting investigated in Bladensburg

Police in Prince George's County are investigating an officer-involved shooting.

The incident happened around 7:00 Sunday night, on 55th Avenue in Bladensburg.

Police say a man armed with a knife confronted an officer, ignored repeated orders to put the weapon down, and then went after the officer.

The officer was not injured.

The suspect is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
