ALEXANDRIA, Va. -
Police are investigating the death of a 30-year-old man in Fairfax County as an apparent homicide. The body of Mark Earl Ives was found at about 2am on Sunday morning at the 5400 block of Broadmoor Street. Police investigators say it appears that Ives was assaulted by an acquaintance and died as a result of trauma to the upper body.
An autopsy by the Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the exact manner and cause of death.
