Georgia man says he speaks telepathically with animals

SUGAR HILL, Ga. -

Tim Link communicates telepathically with animals making him a real dog whisperer.

Pet owners have learned to know how your pets are feeling, but most don't know exactly what they are saying. A Georgia man says he has got some tales to tell.

Dr. Marvis McCormick-Rantze of Lanier Animal Hospital depends on her five senses when dealing with her patients. She tries to determine if they feel pain from the way they are acting, if they are happy, if they are scared or their other current mood. But what if she had a sixth sense about an animal? She would be like Dr. Doolittle, right?

In the tale of Dr. Doolittle, the character actually commutates with animals. He talks to them and they talk back. Tim Link, author of the book "Wagging Tales," says he can do just that.

"I work with animals and their human companions or their owners to help them better understand what's going on with their animals. Maybe we can solve some problems," said Link.

He says he discovered the gift in 2004 during a workshop and using a variety of methods, such as looking into the animal's eyes, he says he can talk to animals. During a visit with FOX 5's Tacoma Perry, told her what Sampson, a rescue puppy, had to say.

"The biggest thing that's going on with Sampson is that obviously he's having a lot of fun being out and about, but the key thing with him is people are making a lot of fuss over him," Link told Perry. "But they're making a little too much fuss over him about what's going on with his past and where he came from. he just wants to have fun."

Jane Lambatis of the Georgia SPCA became a believer when Tim helped her understand her pet.

"Henry, my little Cockapoo, I always worry about him when I'm away from him. And he told Tim, 'Tell her not to worry about me.' And I didn't tell Tim that he knew that," said Lumbatis.

Link also helps pet owners find their lost pets.

If you have a burning question regarding your pet for Tim Link, he will be giving 10-minute consultations at the Grand Opening of Lanier Animal Hospital in Sugar Hill on Saturday. A $25 fee will go towards the Georgia SPCA. For more information on Link or how to reserve your spot for Saturday's events go to wagging-tales.com.

For decades, Atlantans have woken up to Tom Sullivan on their radios.  But you might not know that he's also somewhat of an expert eBay seller, and he's got quite a story to tell.

They say the third time's a charm, and that's certainly the case for Candice Glover.  A third try on American Idol was just what she needed, and on Thursday night she was crowned the season 12 champ.
