Mayor Michael Nutter on Thursday reacted publicly for the first time to a video that shows a Philadelphia police lieutenant strike a woman.
During a news conference, Nutter said he was outraged to see the video, and offered an apology to the woman who was hit, Aida Guzman.
Commissioner Charles Ramsey also spoke at the news conference, telling reporters that it's very important that police make sure they are conducting themselves in a professional manner at all times.
Fox 29's Jeff Cole reports officials with the city will try to move the case through to the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office for consideration for possible criminal prosecution by next week.
