MERCER COUNTY, N.J. -

All of the northbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike are back open, along with one southbound lane of traffic, after a fatal accident in the Robbinsville area Wednesday.

New Jersey State Police says the I-195 eastbound ramp is also open to traffic.

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority says the accident had closed all lanes of the turnpike in both directions at Exit 7A (I-195) in the Robbinsville area.

New Jersey State Police say the accident was fatal. Troopers say a dump truck lost control and landed on its side, catching fire.

It's not clear what caused the accident.

Video from Turnpike cameras showed investigators working to clear the scene. It appeared inspectors were surveying the bridge overhead where the accident occurred.

The traffic in the area impacted thousands of drivers. Some drivers told Fox 29's Claudia Gomez they waited in standstill traffic for more than an hour.
