Pet owners brought their furry friends to receive their annual blessings.

Dozens of people gathered outside the convent of Saint Francis of Assisi in the Peruvian capital Lima on Sunday.

Franciscan friars blessed the animals, sprinkling them with holy water.

One dog owner says it's an act that shows there are people all over the world who love their pets.
