Rep. Mia Love not intimidated by hate mail, death threats

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Republican congresswoman Mia Love said she will not be intimidated by a racist packet of information sent to her office.

Love was a big hit at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, but the attention has brought her a lot of hate mail.

The packet she was sent included pictures of a Ku Klux Klansman in a hood, photos of her husband and death threats.

A defiant Love issued a statement:

"I'm comfortable and proud of my heritage. I'm proud of who I am. I know where I'm going and I know what we need to do to get this country back in order again. There isn't anything that anyone can send me that will distract me from that so they can bring it."
